Hello. Sorry I haven’t written in here for a while. It seems like forever. lol. My computer has been being very very dificult. Sluggish, and the speech keeps cutting out. Anyway, it’s working good right now and that is what matters.
So the donations are up to $6,354USD! I still have a long way to go but doing well. I got some t-shirts from Yvonne that she sold to raise money for her operation. She had some left so she gave them to me to sell to try to get money for my surgery. I have 63 shirts I believe. Some black some white. All of the ones I have right now are Large and extra large. I think maybe another box will have some medium and small in but I’m not certain and I don’t have those yet. Here is a link to see what the shirts look like. shirts
For my blind people reading this blog, I’ll try to describe them. The white shirt has the image of a heart in black. Inside the heart is red. the heart has swirls and lines sort of like a tribal tatoo. Thats the best I can describe it. The black one has the heart and writign in white with the inside of the heart being red. I also have a few shirts that say “the heart tics” on the front and “time waits on no one” on the back with a clock. I’m not sure where a picture of that would be.
Isaiah is doing quite well. The little man is crawling! He is also pulling up on things. He will crawl over to a coffee table, chair, anything really and pull up into a standing position and just stand until he either falls over or you make him lay down. He doesn’t like to sit down too often. So I give it about a month and he’ll be walking. He’s 7 months old now. I took him to get his shots on the 18. He turned 7 months on the 19. He weighed 17 pounds and 4 ounces, and was 27 inchers long. So I had to go out and buy a new carseat because the infant seat I had the heighth limit was 26 inches. I thought these seats were supposed to last until they were a year old? obviously not for me.
I also wear Isaiah in a sling all of the time. He is almost too big for that! I can still stuff him in there sometimes but he tries to climb out. The front pack I have he’s getting too big for that as well. so I found this carrier that I want to get and it’ll go up to 40 pounds and by then I won’t need to wear him anymore. But it’s called the ergo baby carrier. You can wear baby in front, on hip, or on back. Sounds really neat and I think I’m going to get that one. Isaiah is eating stage 2 baby food now. I bout him a variety of it and he seems to like it but I think after he finiwshes this round of food, I am just going to start making my own at home. Baby food is quite expensive! So I need to get a baby food grinder/mill and that way whatever I am eating he can eat. I have a bullet so I guess that would work if I can’t find a foodd mill that I like.
It seems like my hearing is going slowly. I have trouble on the phone now. Not all of the time but with women’s voices that are soft and quiet. When Edward’s mom calls I have to tell her to hang on and give the phone to him because I can hear the voice but I can’t understand what she is saying. I called HP last night to try to get some drivers for my printer and the same thing happened. I couldnt’ understand. That makes me quite sad. So I need to hurry and get this implant. The doctor said if I get it before I lose my hearing it’ll help a lot. If I go deaf and then get the implant it will be harder to use especially since I have no vision to lip read. So I called the financial department at St. Vensent’s to see if I could go ahead and get the surgery but make payments on it and he told me he didn’t know for sure, didn’t think so but he would check. So found out a few days later that I have to fill out a fincial screening form and then they will decide if I can make payments and if so how much I have to pay each month. So I’m going to fill that out and hope they’ll take payments since it doesn’t seem like I will raise the money I need for a while.
