Hello all. I am back to let you all know kind of what I’ve been tossign around.
My husband is an awesome guitar player. My dad plays a little bit too. We are thinking about getting a bunch of people that play together and doing a benifit concert type thing. So that is in the works of getting put together right now. Also I am doing a raffle around here trying to raffle off a gift card that I bought at wal-mart. Everyone can use gas right? lol. So that is what’s going on right now. I’ll keep you all informed.
Thanks for the support.
Holly
Hi everyone. I thought I’d give a quick update. I want to Thank Yvonne for everything. She’s amazing. Helped me get this blog going since I can’t do pictures since I am blind, and helping me spread the word. I appreciate it so much!
So far I have received $800USD in donations. I appreciate it all and I am trying to send thank you emails to all of you. Around here we are trying to think of ideas for a fundraiser. I’m trying to get all of the local churches involved as well. So hopefully it won’t take me too long and I’ll have the surgery I need.
If you have any good ideas for fundraising or raffles, please let me know. I am racking my brain here but this is a lot to handle with all the stress of the tumors, doctors, insurance, new baby, and everything else.
Today was a down day. I was just discouraged very bad, but people reminded me that I just have to keep fighting for my husband and my son. I hope you all enjoy the picture.
That’s all for now, when I think of something else I’ll post in here and will definitely keep you up to date.
Holly

Hi, my name is Holly Alonzo. I am 21 years old and have a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2), which is tumors on the spine and cranial nerves.
When I was diagnosed, the doctors found a tumor wrapped around my brain stem. This tumor had to be removed, and it was unknown whether I would survive this risky surgery. I did, but I woke up blind – in complete darkness.
NF2 is once again interfering with my life, and is now threatening my hearing. I have already lost the hearing in one ear due to the bilateral tumors on my hearing nerves. The tumor on my good ear is now growing and something has to be done soon.
I am looking to get an ABI (auditory brain stem implant). The implant will provide me with some auditory stimulation so I won’t have to risk being completely blind AND deaf. Unfortunately, the procedures to get the implant are only done at select hospitals. These hospitals do not accept my insurance (Medicaid) and this is why I am asking you for your support.
I am a young mother and wife and need this procedure done ASAP.I would very much appreciate any help you can provide. Every dollar counts.
