<description>Hi Sarah! It&#039;s great to hear from you.

I talked to my cousin who worked with a dentist for a while. She said the same thing, but didn&#039;t know if it would be perminent.

The weird thing in though, the left wisom teeth were cut out in the surgery. The right weren&#039;t taken out, and that is the side of my face that is numb. So I don&#039;t know if thisi would still be causing it?

		<description>Holly,
I had my wisdom teeth out exactly a year ago and though it was a really easy recovery with no complications, I do remember the surgeon telling me that facial numbness could be a side effect since there is a nerve that runs along the lower jawline. Though he said it is very rare (I think it only happened one time with one of his patients), and he also said that when it does happen it generally is not permanant.
Did you have it done by an oral/maxifacial surgeon or a regular dentist? Either way, if they are blowing you off, I&#039;d go to another oral surgeon for a second opinion, particularly if its getting worse. I can&#039;t imagine what would be making it worse unless something is going on that should be checked out.
Good luck and I hope it gets better soon.
