You don’t know me but I have been praying for you for about six months. Someone at my church made a prayer request for you during our intercessary prayers. Your situation touched my heart. I am a new Christian but I want you to know that I will continue to pray for you every day until you are completely healed.

Edward, don’t even try and beat up on yourself for not being able to respond fast enough, etc. We all appreciate whatever you can do. the most important people who need the time are you and Holly. the rest of us will wait like patient little puppies for whatever information you can spare. And we’ll keep sending good vybes.

Hi Edward,
Thanks for keeping us informed as to Holly’s progress. My heart breaks for her that she wasn’t able to get the ABI, as I know she wanted (and needed( it so badly. She was trying to get this surgery for so long. She is a strong woman though so I know she will get through this latest obstacle. Sending lots of thoughts and prayers her way for sure.

Thanks Edward for keeping us up to date on how Holly is doing. I also know Holly through the blind’s parents list. I’m sorry that they couldn’t put in the implant.

You have been awesome!!!
I hope now Holly is letting her body heal and rest you can rest too now and take care of yourself as well.
Thats awesome you can be with her in ICU… My family was right there for the 3 days I was in ICU. All I did was sleep and snore! lol!
Then my daughter stayed with me 24/7 when I got too a regular room.
Prayers and strngth are with you both!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write these updates. I know Holly through the blindparenting list and it’s just great to know how she is getting on. I’m truly sorry that they weren’t able to place the implant and I’m sure Holly will be disappointed. It sounds as though she has been in very good hands, though, and i’m just so glad to know that she has come through the surgery well.
Holly, I know you are very determined, and I am convinced that you will make a good recovery and get on with life in the same energetic and enthusiastic way that you always have.
You will, of course, remain in my prayers.

These updates are more than anyone could ask for. Just thank you! And please do take care of yourself, too. Rest is so important for everyone. It is so reassuring to me that Holly has someone with her in ICU. I am always paranoid in there, and not acting like myself. I usually don’t remember much, but it has always been so important to have someone who understood all my needs to be able to make sure they were met.
